The Library and Archives of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) continues to expand its network of strategic collaborations with regional partner institutions. Most recently, this partnership was formalized through the signing of a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) with the Yogyakarta City Library and Archives Service (DPK), held on Tuesday (July 8) at the 3rd Floor Meeting Room of the Yogyakarta City Library, Jl. Suroto No. 9, Kotabaru.
Improving the quality and impact of scientific publications has become a strategic priority for the academic community. As a concrete form of support for this agenda, the UGM Library and Archives in collaboration with Springer Nature held a workshop titled “Guide for Academic: from Research to Publication” on Monday, June 30, 2025. The event took place at the Auditorium of the Tahir Foundation Building, Faculty of Medicine, Public Health and Nursing (FKKMK) UGM, and was attended both onsite and online by students, lecturers, education staff, and researchers from various faculties across UGM.
The international accreditation team from ASIIN (Akkreditierungsagentur für Studiengänge der Ingenieurwissenschaften, der Informatik, der Naturwissenschaften und der Mathematik) conducted an official visit to the Library and Archives of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) on Monday (June 23), as part of the accreditation assessment for academic programs at the Faculty of Agriculture UGM.
Yogyakarta, June 24, 2025 – Imagine a library you can carry anywhere, anytime, complete with an e-book collection, social features, and an online borrowing system. Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) Library and Archives has turned that vision into reality with the launch of SIDILA (Sistem Informasi UGM’s Digital Library), a digital library application designed to meet the learning needs and challenges of today’s generation.
The commitment of the UGM Library and Archives in realizing quality education (SDG 4) and building strong global partnerships (SDG 17) was once again demonstrated through the implementation of the “How to Publish Journal Article with Sage” Workshop held on Thursday (8/5). This workshop was organized in a hybrid format, with an in-person session held at the Computer Laboratory, Building L1, 5th Floor, UGM Library and Archives, and an online session via Zoom meeting. This event provided a strategic learning space for the academic community to explore strategies for publishing in reputable international journals.
On Thursday, April 10, 2025, the Library and Archives of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) welcomed a visit from the Embassy of the Republic of Poland. The visit was attended by the Wielkopolska Delegation led by Mr. Marshal Marek Wozniak, as well as the Poland-Indonesia Parliamentary Friendship Group, headed by Mr. Krzysztof Gadowski, MP, accompanied by six other members. The delegation was joined by Ms. Barbara Szymanowska, a representative of the Polish Embassy in Jakarta, along with three Polish students currently studying in Yogyakarta, including at UGM. The delegation was received by the Library and Archives Management and Public Relations Teams at the UGM Archives Meeting Room.
The Ramadan study session titled “Optimizing Fasting for Health and Disease Prevention” was successfully held on Friday, March 7, 2025, in the Seminar Room, Building L1, 2nd Floor, UGM Library and Archives. This event was a collaborative effort between the UGM Muslimah Friendship Forum (Forsilam), the UGM Library and Archives Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP), and the UGM Health Promoting University (HPU).
In an effort to expand literacy access and strengthen strategic partnerships, the Yogyakarta City Library and Archives Office visited the Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) Library and Archives on Friday (21/2). The visit was warmly received by the UGM Library and Archives Management Team, accompanied by several staff members, in the Archives Meeting Room, 2nd Floor.
Yogyakarta – Five undergraduate students from the Library and Information Science Program at Diponegoro University (UNDIP) have successfully completed their internship at the Library and Archives of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). This internship program lasted for 34 days, from December 23, 2024, to February 14, 2025. Throughout the program, students gained hands-on experience in various aspects of library and archival management as part of efforts to enhance educational quality and strengthen partnerships between academic institutions.
In an effort to enhance the quality of education and access to information, the Podcast Team of the Library and Archives of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) conducted a study visit to InaHealth TV FKKMK UGM on Tuesday and Wednesday, January 21 and 22, 2025. This activity represents a strategic step to deepen the team’s understanding of managing podcasts and YouTube content.
