Nusa Cendana University (Undana) strengthened its academic ties with Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) through a visit to the UGM Library and Archives on Monday (September 29, 2025). The meeting not only discussed library management but also marked the extension of an existing cooperation agreement.

A warm and friendly atmosphere marked the closing of the Gadjah Mada Library and Archives Fair (GMLAF) 2025, held on the rooftop of the Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) Library and Archives on Friday (19/9/2025). The event served as a moment of reflection and appreciation for the series of activities successfully organized to celebrate the 2nd Anniversary of the UGM Library and Archives, while motivating staff to continue improving service quality.
The UM delegation was welcomed by Arif Surachman, S.I.P., M.B.A., Head of the UGM Library and Archives, and Wahyu Supriyanto, S.E., M.Si., Head of the Library Division. The agenda covered a presentation on the facilities and services of the UGM Library and Archives, as well as discussions on internship opportunities, which are planned to become a strategic form of collaboration.

Wahyu Supriyanto emphasized that UGM is always open to collaborations that enrich students’ learning experiences.
“At the UGM Library and Archives, we have involved part-time students to assist staff with various tasks. This scheme not only helps reduce the workload but also provides students with real-world insights into library practices,”
The spirit of transformational leadership oriented toward sustainability took center stage in the Talkshow & Book Review titled “Transformational Leadership Towards the Era of Sustainability”, held on Wednesday (August 27) at the Seminar Room, 2nd Floor, UGM Library and Archives. The event featured authors and academics from various disciplines. In collaboration with Deepublish Publisher, the program drew enthusiastic participation from students, lecturers, and education practitioners.
A total of 80 blood bags were successfully collected during the blood donation event organized by the Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) Library and Archives in collaboration with the UGM Academic Hospital (RSA) on Friday (15/8). Held at the Ex-Periodicals and Reference Room, Building L6, 1st Floor, this activity was part of the 2025 Gadjah Mada Library and Archives Fair (GMLAF), carrying the spirit of social care and public health awareness.

The UGM Library and Archives took part in the Program for International Orientation and New-student Empowerment to Enhance Readiness (PIONEER), an orientation and induction program for hundreds of international students who will begin their studies in the first semester of the 2025/2026 academic year. The students are enrolled in various schemes, ranging from degree programs,student exchange, to non-degree programs. Organized by the UGM Directorate of Partnerships and Global Relations, the program was held on Friday (August 15) at the first floor of Grha Sabha Pramana (GSP).
The Library and Archives of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) brought a fresh touch to the 2025 Gadjah Mada Library and Archive Fair (GMLAF) by hosting an Integrated Coaching Post for Non-Communicable Diseases (Posbindu PTM) on Friday (15/8). In collaboration with the Health Promoting University (HPU), Integrated Health Services Bureau (BPKT), and the Dental and Oral Hospital (RSGM), the event not only focused on routine health checks but also offered additional services in the form of dental and oral examinations.
The Library and Archives of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) welcomed a visit from the Bureau of Communication and Information Services, Secretariat General of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia, on Thursday (31/7) as part of an institutional repository concept deepening session. Held in the Seminar Room, Building L1, 2nd Floor, the event served as a platform to share best practices in digital repository management developed by UGM Library and Archives.
Amidst the growing concern over the character crisis among today’s youth, the Library and Archives of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) held a literacy outreach program titled “Sharing Knowledge, Spreading Goodness: Book Donation and Literacy for the Nation” on Wednesday (July 23) at SMP Muhammadiyah Kretek, Bantul, Yogyakarta. The activity targeted junior high school students as part of an effort to instill moral, social, and spiritual values through books and reflective dialogue.
Two staff members from the Library and Archives of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Afni Isnaini Aprilia (Faculty of Law) and Uminurida Suciati (Faculty of Animal Science), have been selected to receive scholarships for the “Transforming University Libraries Leadership & Innovation Programme (TULLIP)”. They follow in the footsteps of their colleagues who previously received similar scholarships through the TULLIP Intake 1 program organized by the National University of Singapore (NUS) Libraries, held from June 30 to July 4, 2025.
