UGM Library and Archives once again held a strategic program to maximize the utilization of electronic resources subscribed to Universitas Gadjah Mada through the Springer Nature Workshop. This activity was held on Wednesday, October 09, 2024 in a hybrid manner, with offline sessions in the seminar room, building L1, 2nd floor, and online through Zoom Meeting. More than 300 participants consisting of lecturers, students, and UGM education staff enthusiastically participated in this activity.
The Library and Archives of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) held a training activity entitled “Scopus Intensive Training for Librarians: Universitas Gadjah Mada”, which took place on October 1-2, 2024. The training occurred in the Computer Laboratory Room, Building L1 5th Floor, UGM Library and Archives. The event was designed to improve librarians’ skills in accessing and utilizing the Scopus scientific database, one of the academic platforms for searching global literature.
Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) Library has again recorded a brilliant achievement by achieving an excellent accreditation score, which is valid until July 31, 2029. This achievement is a clear proof of the quality and commitment of the library in providing excellent services and quality facilities for the academic community.
Library and Archives of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) has won 3rd runner-up in the national competition for college library innovation organized by the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia. This achievement was made thanks to the innovation entitled “Lawang Sajarah: Reflection of the Past for the Future”.

Under the warm sunlight, a strong sense of togetherness was forged during the family gathering event, marking the conclusion of the extensive celebrations of the 1st Anniversary of the UGM Library and Archives, which had been ongoing since March 2024.
The UGM Library and Archives organized a User Education event for the Indonesia Language and Culture Learning Service (INCULS) Program of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, UGM, on Wednesday, 4 September 2024. This event was part of the learning process, introducing students to Indonesian language and culture by familiarizing them with the activities and routines of the UGM Library and Archives.
Yogyakarta, August 29, 2024 – The Library and Archives of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) reaffirmed its commitment to building international networks by hosting a visit from Sultan Abdul Samad Library, Universiti Putra Malaysia. The visit, led by Puan Rusniah Binti Sayuti and accompanied by nine other members, took place in the Archives Meeting Room, L7 Building, 2nd Floor, UGM Library and Archives.
Yogyakarta, August 21, 2024 – The Gadjah Mada Library and Archives Fair (GMLAF) once again presented one of its series of events, a book discussion titled “Waste to Energy: Waste Treatment Technology into Energy.” This event took place in the Seminar Room, 2nd floor of Building L1, Gadjah Mada University (UGM) Library and Archives, and attracted the attention of the participants in attendance.
On Tuesday, August 20, 2024, in the Archives Meeting Room, UGM Library and Archives welcomed a visit from two institutions: the Bung Karno Proclaimer Library of Blitar City and the Medan Health Polytechnic of the Ministry of Health. The visit aimed to enhance educational access and strengthen partnerships. Arif Surachman, SIP., MBA., Head of UGM Library and Archives, warmly welcomed the guests, emphasizing the importance of collaboration between libraries to support their respective missions and visions.
On Monday, August 19, 2024, from 09:00 to 12:00 WIB, the Seminar Room on the 2nd floor of the UGM Library and Archives will be the hub of international education information through the Study Abroad Mini Fair. This event is part of the Gadjah Mada Library and Archives Fair (GMLAF) and is organized in collaboration with IDP Yogyakarta, a study abroad consultancy.
