Library and Archives of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) has won 3rd runner-up in the national competition for college library innovation organized by the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia. This achievement was made thanks to the innovation entitled “Lawang Sajarah: Reflection of the Past for the Future”.
On a bright Sunday, September 22, 2024, the UGM Library and Archives courtyard was filled with laughter and joy. Under the warm sunlight, a strong sense of togetherness was forged during the family gathering event, marking the conclusion of the extensive celebrations of the 1st Anniversary of the UGM Library and Archives, which had been ongoing since March 2024.
The UGM Library and Archives organized a User Education event for the Indonesia Language and Culture Learning Service (INCULS) Program of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, UGM, on Wednesday, 4 September 2024. This event was part of the learning process, introducing students to Indonesian language and culture by familiarizing them with the activities and routines of the UGM Library and Archives.

On Tuesday, August 20, 2024, in the Archives Meeting Room, UGM Library and Archives welcomed a visit from two institutions: the Bung Karno Proclaimer Library of Blitar City and the Medan Health Polytechnic of the Ministry of Health. The visit aimed to enhance educational access and strengthen partnerships. Arif Surachman, SIP., MBA., Head of UGM Library and Archives, warmly welcomed the guests, emphasizing the importance of collaboration between libraries to support their respective missions and visions.
On Monday, August 19, 2024, from 09:00 to 12:00 WIB, the Seminar Room on the 2nd floor of the UGM Library and Archives will be the hub of international education information through the Study Abroad Mini Fair. This event is part of the Gadjah Mada Library and Archives Fair (GMLAF) and is organized in collaboration with IDP Yogyakarta, a study abroad consultancy.

The Gadjah Mada Library and Archives Fair (GMLAF) officially opened on Monday, August 19, 2024, as part of the first Dies Natalis celebration of the Library and Archives at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). This four-day event, running from August 19 to 22, 2024, at the UGM Library and Archives, showcases a range of exciting activities that blend literacy, history, and student creativity, all in support of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 on quality education and SDG 17 on partnerships for achieving goals.
On Thursday, August 8, 2024, a group of new students from the UGM Religious Studies and Intercultural Studies program participated in a User Education event at the UGM Library. The event began with an informative presentation by Safirotu Khoir, Ph.D., Coordinator of Public Relations and International Affairs at the UGM Library and Archives. She provided a comprehensive overview of the various facilities and services available at the UGM Library, highlighting how students can utilize the library to support their studies and research. She emphasized the crucial role of the library in enhancing the teaching and learning process at UGM, particularly in creating an inclusive and innovative academic ecosystem.
