Sultan Abdul Samad Library Visit from Universiti Putra Malaysia Highlighted by Inspirational Discussions

Yogyakarta, August 29, 2024 - The Library and Archives of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) reaffirmed its commitment to building international networks by hosting a visit from Sultan Abdul Samad Library, Universiti Putra Malaysia. The visit, led by Puan Rusniah Binti Sayuti and accompanied by nine other members, took place in the Archives Meeting Room, L7 Building, 2nd Floor, UGM Library and Archives.

UGM's Head of Library and Archives, Arif Surachman, SIP., MBA., warmly welcomed the guests, accompanied by the management and public relations team. To initiate discussions, Arif Surachman provided an overview of the various services and facilities at UGM Library and Archives. The discussion session was intense and enthusiastic between the two institutions, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere that further strengthened their collaborative spirit.

Beyond discussions, the visit included a tour of UGM iconic building, Balairung, a symbol of the campus's history and identity. The event continued with a library tour, allowing guests to see firsthand the innovations and leading facilities offered by UGM Library and Archives.

This visit not only served as an exchange of experiences but also as a strategic step for UGM Library and Archives in achieving the 17th Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) - Partnership for the Goals. Furthermore, through this visit, both institutions can learn from each other and collaborate to enhance the quality of education, aligning with the 4th SDG - Quality Education.

With this visit, the collaboration between institutions can be further strengthened, benefiting both parties in advancing global education.
