In the spirit of togetherness and compassion during Ramadan, the UGM Library and Archives is offering a free takjil-sharing program for library users. The takjil, consisting of snacks for breaking the fast, is available in the lobby on the first floor and can be enjoyed by all visitors while supplies last.
This program aims to provide convenience for library users who remain active at the UGM Library and Archives until it is time to break their fast. With free takjil available, those spending their time in the library can break their fast more easily without having to leave the premises before Maghrib.
Beyond being an act of social care, this initiative also aligns with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3: Good Health and Well-being. By providing free takjil, the program helps library users maintain a balance between intellectual activities and physical well-being while observing their fast.
The takjil provided consists of a variety of light snacks that are easy to consume. Library users are welcome to take them independently as needed. This way, more visitors can benefit from this sharing initiative.
The response from library users has been overwhelmingly positive. Many appreciate the free takjil as a simple yet meaningful gesture. “I often spend time at the library until just before breaking my fast, and having free takjil available is really helpful,” said Sekar, one of the library users.

Through this program, the UGM Library and Archives is not only a center of knowledge but also a space that fosters well-being and solidarity, especially during this blessed month. May the spirit of sharing will continue and inspire more acts of kindness in the future.
