“Jawabannya adalah Sistem Informasi Perpustakaan Terintegrasi.” Kepala Bidang Database dan Jaringan, Arif Surachman, M. B. A menegaskan pada rombongan Sekretaris dan Staf Perpustakaan Universitas Airlangga dalam studi banding tentang Sistem Informasi terintegrasi di Perpustakaan Universitas Gadjah Mada, 20 Desember 2017 lalu. Lebih lanjut, Bapak Arif menyatakan bahwa Sistem Informasi yang terintegrasi ini tidak hanya terbatas katalog, namun juga transaksi secara real time di seluruh perpustakaan pusat/fakultas/sekolah sehingga transparansi dan akuntabilitas pelayanan dapat ditingkatkan. Sistem ini juga memberikan keluasan kepada pemustaka untuk secara mandiri melayani perpanjangan masa pinjam dan melakukan pemesanan koleksi secara daring.

Menurut penuturan Ibu Suhernik, S. Sos., M. Si, Sekretaris Perpustakaan Unair, saat ini Sistem Informasi Perpustakaan baru dapat menyatukan katalog di Perpustakaan Kampus A, B, dan C, serta ruang baca fakultas di Lingkungan Universitas Airlangga. Pengelolaan transaksi peminjaman buku belum dilakukan secara terintegrasi, sehingga sirkulasi buku belum dapat dipantau secara real time. Untuk itulah, kunjungan kali ini terdiri atas pustakawan dan tim pengembangan teknologi informasi agar dapat menangkap spirit integrasi dan terinspirasi untuk menerapkannya di Universitas Airlangga.

“Pimpinan yang mendukung perpustakaan dan berorientasi pada teknologi informasi menjadi modal yang kuat untuk tercapainya integrasi,” kata Kepala Bidang Database dan Jaringan Perpustakaan UGM menambahkan. Itu yang terjadi di Perpustakaan UGM. Jika pimpinan di Universitas Airlangga sudah memberikan sinyal positif untuk peningkatan perpustakaan, ya ditangkap saja peluangnya. Koordinasi ke bawah, akan menjadi lebih mudah.

Komitmen pimpinan tersebut membuka peluang untuk menggerakkan kerja bersama lintas unit kerja seperti Perpustakaan UGM, Direktorat Pendidikan dan Pengajaran, Direktorat Sistem dan Sumber Daya Informasi, dan Perpustakaan Fakultas/Sekolah. Sekaligus membuka peluang untuk peningkatan peran perpustakaan digital di lingkungan UGM. Selain perpustakaan pusat, Perpustakaan Kedokteran, Perpustakaan Fakultas Ekonomika dan Bisnis, serta Perpustakaan Fisipol telah mengembangkan perpustakaan digital untuk meningkatkan layanan pada jaman milenial ini.

Titik awal dari capaian-capaian pengembangan perpustakaan tersebut adalah satu, yaitu berpikir dan bekerja dalam kerangka integrasi dan sinergi.(Cahya)

Tahun 2017 ini adalah tahun emas Kepustakawanan bagi Purwani Istiana, Pustakawan Madya Perpustakaan Universitas Gadjah Mada. Setelah menyandang gelar Pustakawan Terbaik Nasional I Indonesia (oleh Perpustakaan Nasional RI) di bulan Agustus 2017, Mbak Nina, demikian biasa dipanggil, melengkapi kegembiraannya dengan memenangkan kompetisi Pustakawan Terbaik Nasional II di lingkungan Kementerian Riset, Teknologi, dan Pendidikan Tinggi Republik Indonesia. “Buat saya, ini adalah capaian yang luar biasa. Semoga ke depan, teman-teman bersedia dan pasti mampu membawa bendera Kepustakawananan UGM di level nasional sebagai bentuk kontribusi pada institusi,” demikian disampaikan Mbak Nina di sela-sela audiensinya kepada Kepala Perpustakaan UGM untuk mengabarkan berita gembira tersebut.

Kepala Perpustakaan UGM, Nawang Purwanti, bersuka cita menyambut keberhasilan pustakawan UGM tersebut. “Ini bentuk pembuktian komitmen, panggilan, dan juga pemandatan. Tentunya bukan diraih secara instan, namun melalui perjuangan yang cukup panjang untuk mendapatkan pengakuan di tingkat nasional.” Hal ini jadi lebih istimewa jika dipandang dari konteks peran ganda perempuan, sebagai ibu dan juga pekerja profesional. Manajemen diri menjadi kunci utama, karena dua peran tersebut harus dijalani, untuk menjaga keseimbangan dorongan internal diri, konsistensi dalam kerja, sekaligus terjun sebagai warga masyarakat.

Nina sendiri menjalani keseluruhan proses tersebut. Selain membawakan makalah bertajuk “Dukungan Pustakawan dalam Membangun dan Meningkatkan Visibilitas Institusi”, pustakawan di Fakultas Geografi ini juga berkesempatan berbagi pengetahuan dengan guru-guru mata Pelajaran Geografi di Bantul Yogyakarta sebagai bentuk pengabdian masyarakatnya.(Cahya)

Para pemustaka Ykh,

Sehubungan dengan adanya penataan dan pergeseran ruang layanan di Perpustakaan UGM, maka kami sampaikan permohonan maaf atas ketidaknyamanan selama proses berlangsung. Proses penataan ruang ini diperkirakan akan berlangsung selama 2 bulan hingga Desember 2017. Adapun beberapa layanan yang mengalami penataan dan terdampak proses ini adalah sebagai berikut:

1. Ruang Belajar gedung L6 Lantai 1 diPINDAHkan ke gedung L1 lantai 5. Fasilitas komputer untuk akses internet dipindahkan ke gedung L5 lantai 3 (Ruang KKI).
2. Ruang Layanan Terbitan Berkala dan Referensi gedung L5 lantai 1 diPINDAHkan ke gedung L6 Lantai 1 (eks Ruang Belajar). Fasilitas Komputer yang sebelumnya terdapat dalam layanan ini sebagian dipindahkan ke ruang baru (L6 lantai 1) dan sebagian dipindahkan ke ruang KKI di gedung L5 Lantai 3.
3. Ruang Layanan Sirkulasi dan Koleksi gedung L7 lantai 1 dipindahkan ke gedung L5 lantai 1 (eks ruang Terbitan Berkala dan Referensi). Fasilitas komputer juga akan dipindah ke tempat baru. Sedangkan ruangan di Sampoerna Corner akan dipindahkan ke ruang lain yang sesuai. Ruangan sirkulasi di gedung L7 lantai 1 tidak akan lagi digunakan oleh Perpustakaan Pusat UGM.

Proses penataan ini dilakukan secara bertahap dengan harapan agar pemustaka tidak terlalu banyak mengalami gangguan terkait proses penataan yang sedang kami lakukan. Atas perhatian para pemustaka, kami sampaikan terima kasih.
